Parliamentary Leadership and Public Service
Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, born on 21 February 1979 at Ayinaa Abasa, is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Parliaments of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Shai-Osudoku constituency in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.
Education and Professional Development
Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo has built a strong academic background in business, banking, and finance which supports her leadership in public service.
She attended Ghanata Senior High School where she obtained her WASSCE. She later earned a Diploma in Banking from Cambridge Academy and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Cape Coast.
She also obtained a Diploma in Insurance from National Insurance College in 2004.
In 2025, she completed a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance at Methodist University Ghana. In recognition of her leadership and public service, she was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in 2024 by Elohim Theological College & Seminary.
Political Leadership
Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo is a member of the National Democratic Congress and the Member of Parliament for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
She was first elected to the Parliament of Ghana in 2016 and has since served in the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Parliaments of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. Her parliamentary work focuses on community development, youth empowerment, infrastructure improvement, and social welfare.
In recognition of her leadership and commitment to national development, she was appointed Greater Accra Regional Minister, where she oversees regional governance and development coordination across the region.
